Don’t Get Married Before 30

By Joy Chen

In this book, Ms Chen suggested that girls should calmly face the increase of age and the attitudes of those around you. Don’t give your life and destiny to anybody else before you are mature enough and recognize with confidence who you are and what you want. In fact, you cannot attract a good man unless you are good enough. The real soul mate will cherish each other and feel grateful for the emergence of the other half. Only when your Mr. Right appears would you know who fits you the most

The author herself got a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a MBA degree and a master’s degree in Urban Planning from UCLA. She was successfully elected Deputy Mayer at the age of 31. Ms Chen was mainly in charge of education and HR development of the second largest city of America when she was in office. After leaving the public service sector, she became a successful recruitment consultant. She opened a head-hunting company after working at Heidrick & Struggles. She got married at the age of 38 and now has two daughters.
