Feelin’ French at Héritage

All comments()

Héritage restaurant at the Sofitel Wanda Beijing is changing things up with the appointment of their new Chef de cuisine Michael Jakovljev. The restaurants décor hasn’t undergone a revamp (and not that it needs to either), it still oozes opulence and comfort in a classic French country style chateau fashion.
The food menu on the other hand is currently being transformed, and I’m told we can look forward to the full a la carte menu in late January. For now they’ve got three set menus, we had a taste from their Business Lunch Menu, and it’s well worth it. Chef Michael is a big believer in using fresh produce, and only sources the finest ingredients. He has over 15 years of experience in the industry; he’s worked as Sous Chef in a two Michelin star restaurant, and his first restaurant opening in Australia awarded him one chef hat (the Australian culinary rating system).
You’ll find some notable French classics here, as well as many innovative dishes that showcase a stylish flair. They also have an impressive wine cellar, with lovely drops from wineries in Bordeaux, the Loire and Rhone Valley, and many from exclusive boutique wineries.
Héritage is definitely the place to go if you’re looking for French innovation with a bit of classic style.
