The Third edition of China Restaurant Week will be held from

 2 to 8 September 2013 in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou

Beijing) Upon two successful China Restaurant Week editions where major cities Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou held their Restaurant Weeks simultaneously, the third edition is yet again right on food loving China’s doorstep. In more than 180 restaurants across China’s major dining destinations Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, the Third Official China Restaurant Week will be held from 2 to 8 September 2013, presented by DiningCity and Citibank (China) Credit Card.

“The Restaurant Week concept gives high end restaurants the opportunity to open their cuisine and creative minds and present diners with tasting menus of at least 3-courses for both dinner and lunch at an affordable price,” says Mr Onno Schreurs, DiningCity.com’s Managing Director for the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. During the weeklong event in September 2013, each participating restaurant will present an exclusive Restaurant Week menu for lunch, dinner or both, for a fixed price starting from RMB 78 for lunch or RMB 99 for dinner.

Some of the returning restaurants include Beijing Restaurant Week last edition’s winner Brasserie’s Flo, but also Grange Grill of the Westin Chaoyang Hotel, Vasco’s of Hilton Beijing Wangfujing Hotel, Mosto, Jing of Peninsula Hotel, Missa (Mesa), and many more. Together with new additions - Whampoa Club, Bantu Italian Restaurant, One East of Hilton Dongfang, ROOMbeijing and Feast (Food by East) - foodies in Beijing are offered a formidable variety of cuisines to choose from.

Reservations will be available online via the special DiningCity website www.restaurantweek.cn from 4 p.m. on 22 August, 2013. Citibank creditcard members can enjoy exclusive priority online booking from 4 p.m. on 19 August, 2013.  

Citibank (China) will be partnering with DiningCity.com China again for the September edition of China Restaurant Week 2013. For this edition, Citibank clients who use their Citibank (China) credit card to settle their bill at participating restaurants during the Week will get a chance of winning a Master Chef Cooking Class of top chef Daniel Urdaneta of Restaurant Mosto and other secret prizes. 8 “Citibank (China) credit card” holders will win the culinary show and tasting by Chef Daniel Urdaneta and the Chef’s secret recipes and tips are all yours.

DiningCity will also be promoting CRIENGLISH’s cooking competition show, Chopsticks & Beyond, which celebrates CRI’s 15th anniversary. Chopsticks & Beyond explores China’s four great culinary traditions (Sichuan, Cantonese, Shandong and Huaiyang)and gives foreign friends a chance to experiment with these traditions. Professional chefs from the World Association of Chinese Cuisine will provide guidance for the contestants.

CRIENGLISH and DiningCity’s mutual support will promote Chinese cuisines and fine dining to foodies across the world.
