Che Diego

All comments()

"A Corner of Argentina in Beijing", this is how the owner, Diego, describes his restaurant. Diego, a multi lingual entrepreneur originally from China, moved to Argentina when he was a young boy. He has now returned with a dream to share his culture with the Beijing community. A kind of gastronomic ambassador for Argentinian cuisine. The menu is a culinary tour from the north to the south, incorporating various aspects of Argentinian food culture and the Argentinian wine list has been especially prepared to supplement the dining experience.

However, the experience does not begin and end with the food. Tango performances are regularly organised to provide a complete experience. Even the décor has been designed to aplify the customers' experience. Simple materials traditionally used in Argentina, such as red brick walls, wooden furniture and Argentinian artworks are combined with ambient lighting to create an authenthic Argentinian experience in Beijing hub of Sanlitun.

Che Diego can seat up to 95 covers with an average meal estimated at 190 rmb. The open planning and great location makes it a perfect venue for events and gatherings. For the customers' convenience there are also tailored menus to suit different occasions; a quick business lunch, an option for the health conscious, a relaxed brunch menu for catching up with family and friends, there is even a new water menu for those that are curious to experience something different.

Che Diego allows the busy Beijinger to experience a piece of Argentina right here without having to leave the city, perhaps it may even inspire you to go and see the real thing one day.
